About the position

The Director of Portfolio Management Office at Franciscan Health is responsible for leading the technology vision and planning processes within the organization. This role involves developing policies, procedures, and standards for healthcare IT solutions, ensuring adherence to project management practices, and overseeing the Portfolio Management Office to enhance staff competencies and project reporting. The director will collaborate with various stakeholders to align IT initiatives with organizational strategies and ensure the successful delivery of training programs and project updates.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the technology vision and planning processes.
  • Lead the development of policies, procedures, and standards for healthcare IT solutions, implementation, and support.
  • Ensure understanding and adherence to standard enterprise Project Management practices, including Project Governance.
  • Maintain a best-in-class Portfolio Management Office, focusing on staff competencies, project intake, resourcing, and reporting.
  • Work closely with Business Relationship Management resources to align with organizational strategy and operational partnership.
  • Publish updates on organizational capacity and status reports for key critical projects.
  • Deliver multi-modal training programs, including staff competencies and end-user satisfaction surveys.
  • Partner with IS and Healthcare Operational Leaders to maintain trusted relationships and ensure efficient completion of organizational objectives.
  • Present new opportunities to the organization related to business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or related field - Required
  • Master's Degree - Preferred
  • 10+ years progressively responsible technology leadership roles - Required
  • 5 years experience in an executive management capacity - Required
  • 5 years proven experience in the health care industry - Preferred
  • 5 years experience leading large-scale deployment and optimization projects - Preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) - Preferred

  • Experience in an executive management capacity.
