About the position

EWU is currently seeking a Director of Procurement and Contracts. The director serves as the Chief Purchasing Officer for EWU and supervises the Department of Procurement & Contracts. The Department is responsible for facilitating and overseeing the purchasing process university-wide, including maintaining vendor profiles, entering budget encumbrances, processing requisitions, reimbursements, and purchase orders, and administering and auditing the use of purchasing cards (p-cards), fuel cards, and corporate accounts. In addition, the Department negotiates and executes all contracts for the purchase of goods and services and public works for the university, including managing competitive solicitations. Further, the Department is responsible for affiliation agreements for practicum placements, interagency agreements and memoranda of understanding, data sharing agreements, international placement agreements, and grant/research contracts. The director is also responsible for EWU's supplier diversity program.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Department of Procurement & Contracts.
  • Facilitate and oversee the purchasing process university-wide.
  • Maintain vendor profiles.
  • Enter budget encumbrances.
  • Process requisitions, reimbursements, and purchase orders.
