Our team designs experiences, testing and tooling capabilities critical for our developers to build and go-live with PayPal's payment integrations. The Developer Product team is part of the SMB organization, and responsible for PayPal's end-to-end developer experiences - including developer onboarding, integration, and servicing experiences. We're looking for Director, Developer Product, who will transform Developer Experiences for PayPal Inc. If you are excited empowering Developers by helping them integrate PayPal solutions - this role is for you. In this role, you will lead the product strategy and vision for the next generation of API & SDK integration experiences, tooling & testing capabilities empowering PayPal's developers. You will lead a team of savvy product managers developing state-of-the-art integration tools, testing frameworks and sandbox tools, simulators, and demo environments to help Developers go-live with PayPal. You will help us build state of the art platform for developer documentation critical for integration, troubleshooting, upgrades to enable the end-to-end developer lifecycle. In addition, we must listen to developers and understand their challenges during their lifecycle. You will influence and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners including Engineering, User Experience, Analytics, Sales and Marketing teams to address challenges developers face, and identify new developer-centric solutions to accelerate PayPal's product adoption. In partnership with engineering, you will own and execute the strategy and roadmap, with the goal of each new release making a measurable impact. In this role, you will also be an organic developer evangelist and advocate - and bring the voice of developers to enhance future roadmaps and product strategy. This job may require occasional travel to meet team members Asia Pacific.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the product vision and strategy for developer integration experiences, testing, tooling, and go-live.
- Lead a team of product managers that own our developer website, our developer studio experience, our demo websites, and various developer tools.
- Improve developer satisfaction through best-in-class integration experiences.
- Establish strong governance practices to deliver high-quality integration experiences.
- Enable teams to resolve integration or experience issues timely and sustainably via Developer Portal experience.
- Continually monitor KPIs like time-to-market, funnel conversion and developer satisfaction.
- Build robust platforms critical for developer enablement.
- Empower team of senior product managers and technical writers.
- Be a trusted partner for senior management and PayPal developers.
Requirements
- 10+ years leadership experience in Product Management, Engineering, Management Consulting, or similar areas.
- Prior experience in financial technologies, banking, finance sectors a plus.
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or related technical field is helpful in this role.
- Fluency in English.
