About the position

As the Director of Product Management for Principal's Enterprise Data and Analytics organization, you will lead a team of Product Managers, data scientists, engineers, and analysts to drive insights about customers and business operations. This role focuses on transitioning from reactive analysis to predictive insights, fostering transformative change, and enhancing product practices to achieve strategic outcomes. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to develop product strategies and ensure the successful delivery of data-driven solutions across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Drive a team of Product Managers, data scientists, engineers, and analysts to enable insights about customers and business.
• Work closely with key stakeholders to build product and platform strategies.
• Mature product practices and drive outcomes while collaborating with business stakeholders, architecture, and technology teams.
• Iterate on OKRs that drive real outcomes and help teams connect these to work.
• Experiment and iterate to find the most impactful work for the chosen outcomes.
• Lead and coach a passionate team of Product Management professionals.

Requirements

• 10+ years of business, technology, or product management experience; or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, military experience, or education.
• 7+ years working in a highly collaborative, fast-paced product environment.
• 4+ years of people management experience, growing the talent of individuals and teams.
• Demonstrated success managing complex stakeholder expectations across multiple products.
• Proven success in driving product outcomes in a multi-product environment while establishing business strategy for multiple products.

Nice-to-haves

• Lead change management initiatives for product domain.
• Background in Data domains (data engineering, data analytics, data science, business intelligence, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability to lead and grow a Product organization.
• Product Management experience in platform products.
• Desire to help transform your organization to the Product Operating Model.
