About the position

The Director of Product Management - Internal Partner is responsible for managing the ongoing analysis and enhancement design activities for existing payment systems throughout the product lifecycle. This role involves planning and executing system enhancements, ensuring product oversight during development, and acting as an intermediary between IT and internal clients. The director provides leadership to Product Managers, identifies business opportunities, manages supplier relationships, and oversees product pricing and budgeting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage ongoing analysis and enhancement design activities for existing payment systems.
  • Plan and execute activities in support of system enhancements, including diagnosis of needs and gathering requirement specifications.
  • Ensure ongoing product oversight during the development phase and post-facto comparison of solutions delivered with original specifications.
  • Provide leadership and vision to Product Managers across all stages of the product lifecycle.
  • Identify key business opportunities and support the refinement of strategies.
  • Conduct complex analysis of data and solve complex problems through recommendations.
  • Request and review regular reporting for management on product or project status.
  • Manage third-party supplier relationships and negotiate supplier contracts.
  • Participate in setting strategy for product pricing and client billing.
  • Analyze, track, and report on multiple product profit and loss statements.
  • Lead the management of multiple products and associated tasks.
  • Foster and drive a culture of innovation within product management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Typically a minimum of 10 years of related professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5-6 years experience in a managerial position.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in a related field.
  • Prior experience in the Global Payments, payment, or technology industry.
