About the position
The Director of Product Management at Global Payments is responsible for managing the ongoing analysis and enhancement design activities for existing payment systems throughout the product lifecycle. This role involves planning and executing system enhancements, ensuring product oversight during development, and acting as an intermediary between IT and internal clients. The position requires strong leadership to guide Product Managers through all stages of the product lifecycle, from innovation to product retirement, while identifying key business opportunities and managing third-party supplier relationships.
Responsibilities
- Manage ongoing analysis and enhancement design activities for existing payment systems.
- Plan and execute activities in support of system enhancements, including requirement specifications and test plan implementation.
- Provide leadership and vision to Product Managers across all stages of the product lifecycle.
- Identify key business opportunities and support the refinement of strategies.
- Conduct complex analysis of data and solve complex problems through recommendations.
- Manage third-party supplier relationships and negotiate supplier contracts.
- Oversee product pricing strategy and client billing for services.
- Monitor overall resource allocation and set direction for capacity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 10 years of related professional experience, including 5-6 years in a managerial position.
- Strong industry and market focus to ensure the company remains current and relevant.
