About the position

The Director of Product Management for Observability at MongoDB is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and executing the long-term vision for customer-facing observability solutions within MongoDB Atlas and the internal observability platform. This position requires collaboration across various teams to enhance operational decision-making and improve anomaly detection and prediction mechanisms. The role is pivotal in aligning product roadmaps with business outcomes and ensuring the successful deployment of observability features that meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Drive collaboration across engineering, support, design, marketing, sales, and executive leadership.
• Develop a vision and roadmap for observability that leads to both near-term and long-term wins.
• Understand all aspects of the business to ensure alignment with broader product, customer, and company needs.
• Influence decisions regarding technical, business, and organizational issues surrounding observability.

Requirements

• 15+ years of product or engineering experience with enterprise-focused technologies.
• Experience managing, monitoring, and deploying databases at scale; MongoDB-specific experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with all components of the application stack and enterprise application development process.
• Solid technical skills to advocate for users and communicate effectively with engineering teams.
• Ability to establish and communicate product strategy and vision to stakeholders.
• Strong team skills to bring together diverse views and foster collaboration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting to large audiences.
• Self-starter with a strategic mindset and ability to tackle challenges across disciplines.
