About the position

As a Director of Product Management at Via, you will lead a complex portfolio of products and features that significantly impact end users, particularly in low-income communities. This role involves shaping the next generation of mobility apps, ensuring intuitive and delightful user experiences while fulfilling commitments to public sector customers. You will be responsible for integrating various modes of transport and enhancing the overall transit network experience for riders, drivers, and transit personnel.

Responsibilities

• Lead product vision and strategy for the next-generation Rider app.
• Create a delightful user experience from app signup to booking transit.
• Develop scalable integration of real-time public transit and other data.
• Build robust features for large services with varied policies on travel, payments, and communications.
• Establish an excellent communications platform for riders throughout their journey.
• Implement 'network thinking' to enhance rider interactions with caregivers, drivers, and transit personnel.
• Ensure inclusivity and accessibility in product builds.
• Evaluate value versus cost of requirements and manage scoping effectively.
• Drive a data-driven prioritization and scheduling process.
• Collaborate closely with Software Development, QA, Project Management, and Business teams.

Requirements

• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in product management in successful startups or large companies.
• Experience owning a broad set of products and leading a product domain across a company.
• Proven track record of building category-leading products.
• Ability to analyze market research and customer feedback to inform product vision.
• Demonstrated success in managing the end-to-end product lifecycle.
• Excellent analytical abilities and strong business acumen; an MBA is a plus.
• Ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Proactive, independent achiever with self-learning capabilities.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
