About the position

We are seeking a talented and driven Director of Product Management to join our dynamic team at the forefront of synthetic biology. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding the development and launch of innovative products that meet customer needs and drive business growth. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support, to deliver exceptional products that align with our company's vision and strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, operations, sales, and marketing) to drive products through Ansa's product development process (PDP), lead successful product launches and overall business success.
  • Serve as the internal voice of customer (VOC) within the core team and be a primary customer advocate throughout the product development process.
  • Equip the sales team with tools, training, and resources to effectively communicate product value propositions.
  • Lead cross-functional projects from definition to launch, working closely with teams across R&D, Bioinformatics, Sales & Marketing, and Operations.
  • Analyze competitive activity and barriers to product adoption.
  • Partner with marketing teams to define product positioning, market launch plans, and create high-quality marketing collateral.
  • Develop and analyze product performance metrics to identify and implement improvement strategies based on data and market trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, or engineering; MBA or PhD preferred.
  • 10+ years of industry experience, with at least 5 years in product management within the life science industry.
  • Experience within the DNA synthesis market required.
  • Experience with Biopharma/ Cell and Gene Therapy is a plus.
  • Proven track record in new product development and the management of existing products.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience in matrixed environments.
  • Strong analytical abilities, with a knack for data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to analyze data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and a willingness to experiment.
