As the Director of Product Management, you will partner with the Vice President of Custom Solutions to lead the strategy and development of customized products for individual states and school districts. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced product leader to shape the future of education by designing and delivering customized K-12 programs in the areas of math, science, and social studies. The position allows for remote work within the United States, providing flexibility in your work environment. To be successful in this role, the candidate must be organized, flexible, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in the K-12 education market, along with a background in managing the creation of print and digital educational products, is essential. Previous experience in education, editorial, or curriculum development is a plus. The Director will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic product vision that aligns with the company's mission and goals, defining and prioritizing product requirements, and participating in go-to-market strategies. The role also involves managing a team and cross-functional support teams throughout the end-to-end product development process. The Director will drive revenue growth by creating products that align with customer expectations and state learning standards, monitor and analyze key performance indicators, and manage the product budget effectively to maximize ROI. Collaboration with key stakeholders in sales, marketing, finance, and product development is crucial to determine the right level of customization for successful product delivery within budget and schedule constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic product vision for the state adoption business.
  • Define and prioritize product requirements and serve as an internal/external spokesperson.
  • Participate in go-to-market strategy and support product launch.
  • Continuously monitor product performance, competitive environment, and market changes.
  • Manage the end-to-end product development process with your team and cross-functional support teams.
  • Drive revenue growth by creating products aligned with customer expectations and state learning standards.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators using data-driven insights for informed product decisions.
  • Manage the product budget effectively to optimize resource allocation and maximize ROI.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, and product development stakeholders to determine customization levels for products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in product management, educational technology, or K-12 curriculum.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing educational products.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Data-driven decision-making and analytical skills.
