About the position

The Director of Product Management at Bill.com is a senior leadership role responsible for driving product management practices and fostering a culture of innovation within the company. This position focuses on defining product management craft skills, enhancing operational excellence, and ensuring a deep understanding of customer needs in the accounting space. The director will lead cross-functional teams, establish product rituals, and optimize execution to support the company's growth in financial automation.

Responsibilities

• Define PM Craft Skills by collaborating across teams to identify necessary skills for success in a tech-driven environment.
• Ensure continuous empathy building for accounting professionals and their clients to inform strategy and priorities.
• Set up and nurture a queue of rapid experiments to identify growth levers for the company.
• Establish lightweight operating mechanisms to accelerate execution and empower product teams.
• Develop systems to track key metrics and disseminate information effectively.
• Onboard cross-functional teams to the business unit's operating model and translate executive guidance into actionable decision-making principles.
• Identify talent gaps and leverage networks to attract high-performing talent to critical roles.
• Align product strategy and direction with product marketing management for broader impact.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Proven experience in product management or a similar high-level role in a fast-paced organization.
• Strong understanding of financial management principles and P&L responsibilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex information into actionable insights.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
