About the position
The position involves developing and promoting product strategies for SymantecVeritas Information Governance products, with a focus on creating a roadmap that aligns with both short-term and long-term business objectives. The role requires leading a team and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the success of the product line, conducting competitive analysis, and providing product support to sales and customers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and evangelize product strategies for SymantecVeritas Information Governance products.
- Build a roadmap to meet the business unit's objectives.
- Present strategies and analysis to the executive team.
- Lead a team of direct reports and cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and marketing.
- Conduct competitive analysis detailing competitors' marketing, sales, and product strategies.
- Own product requirements and roadmaps for new and existing products/services.
- Provide product support to sales, support, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Support sales through product training and joint customer presentations.
- Evaluate and manage third-party partnerships with complementary vendor solutions.
- Evangelize solution value proposition at customer visits, sales training, seminars, and trade shows.
- Develop data-driven models to assess business performance and identify growth opportunities.
Requirements
- Proven ability to launch new products from concept to launch.
- Undergraduate degree, preferably with an MBA or significant business experience.
- 10+ years of experience in software product management in a high-tech company.
- 2+ years of experience in product management for SaaS/cloud software solutions.
- Experience in agile scrum development as a product manager and/or product owner.
- Highly analytical decision-making approach.
- Excellent presentation and customer-facing skills.
- Demonstrated success in indirect management in matrix organizations.
- Self-starter; motivated; energetic.
