About the position

The Director of Product Management is responsible for leading a team of product managers and analysts, focusing on building and maintaining strong customer relationships while overseeing the product delivery cycle. This role emphasizes a hybrid approach to requirements gathering, combining both waterfall and agile methodologies, with a strong focus on agile scrum practices. The director will also engage with executive-level stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and presentation of product status, while driving continuous process improvement across various product lines.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with customers to maintain and build relationships.
  • Gather and monitor product requirements using a hybrid approach of waterfall and agile methodologies.
  • Oversee the product delivery cycle, focusing on agile scrum practices.
  • Collaborate with software development and QA teams, ensuring knowledge of the SDLC.
  • Engage with staff and executives, presenting product status and updates in meetings.
  • Drive continuous process improvement across data and BI-focused products.
  • Manage a team of 7, including 5 product managers and 2 analysts.
  • Lead data quality initiatives within the product management team.
  • Work with third-party consulting firms on Statements of Work (SOWs) for product builds.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing a team of at least 3+ product managers.
  • Strong knowledge of QA processes and the software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience in product management with a focus on agile methodologies.
  • Ability to engage with executive-level stakeholders and present product updates effectively.
  • Experience in data pipeline or data science is a plus.

  • Experience working with third-party consulting firms.
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence language tools for job description enhancement.
