About the position
The Director of Product Management will lead the product vision and strategy for a fast-growing institutional technology platform in the financial services sector. This role involves collaborating with various teams to deliver innovative trading and retirement solutions while acting as the voice of the customer. The position is pivotal in driving product lifecycle management, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and enhancing user satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute product strategies and roadmaps that align with organizational goals, market trends, and emerging fintech innovations.
- Lead cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, designers, and analysts, to deliver exceptional products on schedule and within budget.
- Conduct thorough market analysis to identify user needs, industry trends, and competitor offerings, translating findings into impactful features.
- Partner with external stakeholders, including retirement-focused advisors, recordkeepers, and financial institutions, to uncover opportunities for platform enhancements.
- Guide the end-to-end product lifecycle, including requirements gathering, feature prioritization, and product launch.
- Utilize analytics to evaluate product performance, identify improvement areas, and drive informed decisions.
- Ensure all products adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards, collaborating with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risks.
- Monitor advancements in financial technology, AI, and automation to maintain the platform's competitiveness and relevance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in product management or leadership roles, with at least 5 years in fintech or related industries.
- Proven success in managing complex product initiatives in financial services or trading environments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of retirement savings and tax-advantaged investment sectors.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a track record of fostering collaboration across diverse teams.
