About the position

LocaliQ is seeking a Director of Product Marketing, GTM Strategy to lead our efforts in launching new AI-driven software solutions for small businesses. This role is pivotal in shaping the go-to-market strategies for our innovative products, ensuring that they meet the needs of our target audience while aligning with the company's overall objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in product marketing, particularly within the software or SaaS sectors, and will have a proven track record of successfully launching products to market. This is a hands-on position that requires a strategic thinker who can not only develop comprehensive marketing strategies but also execute them effectively to drive product adoption and communicate the value of our offerings to both internal teams and external stakeholders. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating efforts across various departments, including product development, marketing, sales, and customer success, to ensure that our go-to-market strategies are cohesive and effective. You will oversee the packaging and pricing of our products, ensuring that they are positioned correctly in the market to attract small businesses. Additionally, you will work closely with the sales team to create impactful sales tools and training materials that empower them to effectively communicate our product's value. Market research will be a critical component of your responsibilities, as you will need to gather insights on customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape to inform your strategies. You will also be tasked with overseeing digital marketing campaigns, utilizing various channels to enhance product awareness and generate leads. Your ability to analyze data and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives will be essential in refining strategies and improving return on investment (ROI).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive go-to-market strategies for new and existing software products, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market needs.
  • Coordinate between product, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to ensure alignment on go-to-market strategies.
  • Ensure that product development, packaging, pricing, and distribution are executed smoothly.
  • Work cross-functionally to create compelling product positioning, messaging, and value propositions that resonate with target audiences, particularly small businesses.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to create effective sales tools, including presentations, product collateral, competitive analysis, and training materials.
  • Conduct thorough market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to influence product enhancements and marketing strategies, ensuring that customer needs are at the forefront of decision-making.
  • Oversee digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, SEM, content marketing, microsites, and social media, to drive product awareness and lead generation.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, using data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve ROI.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in product marketing within the software industry, with a focus on B2B or small business solutions.
  • Experience with CRMs, digital advertising, and launching a first-time product to market is highly desirable.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong operational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with market research and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, Marketo).
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.

Benefits

  • Base Salary: $175,000 - $200,000/annually
  • Variable compensation may be applicable based on the role.
