About the position

The Director of Product Marketing, Segments at Klaviyo is a strategic leadership role focused on driving business results for the SMB market. This position requires a deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to develop compelling messaging and storytelling. The director will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align customer insights with company goals and product strategy, ultimately enhancing Klaviyo's market presence and sales effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a team of product marketers responsible for differentiated positioning and messaging.
  • Develop compelling messaging and positioning frameworks tailored to the needs of our segments.
  • Become a subject matter expert on customer needs, pain points, key personas, and market trends.
  • Define the ideal customer profile and develop Total Addressable Market (TAM) and Serviceable Available Market (SAM).
  • Translate positioning and messaging frameworks into thoughtful go-to-market plans.
  • Identify key growth levers needed to meet targets and define prioritized target audiences.
  • Develop sales plays and cross-channel marketing programs in partnership with sales and marketing leadership.
  • Equip enablement and sales teams with resources needed to effectively sell and drive adoption.
  • Partner closely with sales, operations, and marketing to analyze feedback and results, identifying opportunities for growth.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of product marketing experience, particularly in B2B SaaS products.
  • 3+ years of experience managing and coaching a team of product marketers.
  • Experience working closely with sales organizations to enable the field with tailored materials.
  • Data-driven strategic thinker with the ability to operate with urgency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong executive presence with excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical details to non-technical audiences.
  • Proven success in influencing peers and leaders across various departments.
