About the position

The Director of Product Marketing at Maxio is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the product marketing vision and execution. This position requires a blend of SaaS expertise, storytelling ability, and skills in product positioning and go-to-market strategies. The director will work closely with product management, sales, and customer success teams to ensure that Maxio's products resonate with target audiences and meet market demands.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive product marketing plan that aligns with Maxio's business goals and market opportunities.
  • Conduct in-depth research to identify customer needs, trends, and competitive landscape, translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Define and communicate clear, differentiated value propositions for Maxio's products.
  • Drive go-to-market strategies for new product launches, overseeing planning, execution, and performance analysis.
  • Develop impactful marketing collateral, including case studies, whitepapers, and presentations highlighting product value.
  • Equip the sales team with training and resources to effectively convey product benefits and value.
  • Collaborate with customer success teams to gather feedback and refine product messaging and positioning.
  • Set and monitor KPIs to evaluate the success of product marketing initiatives and drive improvements.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and design teams to align product development with market needs and feedback.
  • Lead a high-performing product marketing team, fostering innovation and accountability.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of SaaS Product Marketing experience - Required.
  • Proven track record of leading successful go-to-market strategies, product launches, and positioning of software products - Required.
  • 5+ years of leadership and management experience, including building and mentoring high-performing teams - Required.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating cross-functionally with product management, sales, and customer success teams to launch products and drive adoption - Required.
  • Experience using CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and analytics software to support sales and track performance.
  • Strong project management skills with the proven ability to lead and deliver multiple complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret data, customer insights, and market trends to inform strategies and decision-making.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft and deliver compelling product stories tailored to various audiences.
  • Ability to develop impactful messaging frameworks and competitive positioning strategies that effectively communicate value propositions.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong understanding of SaaS market dynamics and the ability to anticipate and respond to market shifts.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in FinTech, billing, payments, or Office of the CFO applications - Preferred.
