About the position

The Director of Product Marketing at Akoustis, Inc. is responsible for the overall strategy and business planning for XBAW/SAW products across various market segments. This role encompasses business development, product development, portfolio management, and collaboration with external partners to drive revenue and profitability. The position requires strong leadership and strategic planning skills to align with company goals and customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategy and business plan, gaining alignment by presenting to CEO, VP's & management garnering feedback and approval.
• Execute the business plan, servicing the end customer needs through both internal and external collaboration.
• Establish a forum to regularly review results and evolve plan as required to maximize revenue and profitability, while servicing targeted customer base.
• Responsible for delivering XBAW/SAW revenue and profit, based on Wi-Fi, Network Infrastructure and Defense business plan.
• Support finance department for accounting and financial report.
• Responsible for alignment of program management resources with VP of Operations to maximize revenue and profitability.
• Manage XBAW program management (PDP-0 to 3) and portfolio management (PDP4 thru EOL); strategize, plan, and hire new team members for business growth.
• Develop, communicate and document annual and 5-year strategic plan.
• Work with engineering team, external contractors, and business partners for XBAW/SAW product design, development, and product offering.
• Work with Akoustis sales team to promote XBAW/SAW products and provide technical and commercial support to reps, distributors, and customers.
• Work with operations team and manufacturing partners for planning, manufacturing, and delivery.
• Work with Quality team and manufacturing partners for document and quality control, quality assurance, and customer return analysis and quality support.
• Other responsibility as assigned by Akoustis management.

Requirements

• Demonstrated empathy and ability to lead, manage and supervise.
• Experience as a Director with overall responsibility of a subsidiary, product group, business unit or a company.
• Experience in collaborating with customers, business partners and working with different departments within a company.
• Experience in directing R&D and design of BAW, SAW and/or RF components.
• In-depth knowledge of BAW, SAW, RF and systems, demonstrated by technical papers, technical conference presentations and patents.
• Experience in technical support and marketing of BAW; SAW; Xtal, ceramic filter and/or other RF components.

Nice-to-haves

• BS Degree required. Scientific discipline preferred.
