About the position

The Director of Programs at Merakey is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of specific programs within their division, ensuring program quality, effectiveness, and impact. This management role involves direct supervision of Campus Managers/Supervisors or Community House Managers, and the oversight of I/DD residences. The Director will implement strategic plans, manage staff performance, handle financial responsibilities, and engage with stakeholders to promote program services.

Responsibilities

  • Implement strategic plan activities as directed by Divisional leadership.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned program(s), ensuring efficient service delivery and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Implement and provide feedback on policies and procedures related to program operations and staff management.
  • Ensure programs adhere to best practices, regulatory standards, and Merakey policies.
  • Lead and supervise a team of professionals, providing guidance and support.
  • Oversee staff performance management processes, including evaluations and professional development planning.
  • Implement disciplinary actions when necessary, following established protocols.
  • Lead recruitment and hiring processes for program staff, ensuring diversity and inclusion principles are upheld.
  • Manage timecards and attendance records for staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate scheduling and staffing needs for program activities and services.
  • Take responsibility for the profit and loss (P&L) of assigned programs.
  • Participate in annual budget development in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Manage approved program budgets and monitor financial performance.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote program services.
  • Coordinate with communications staff to develop promotional materials and online content.
  • Compile individual specific data for assessments and collaborate with specialists regarding support plans.
  • Participate in completion of Requisition Forms for changes in individual/staff status.
  • Analyze reports submitted by House Managers to verify adherence to IDT/LEP and initiate changes as needed.
  • Conduct monthly supervisory 1:1 staff meetings and ensure compliance with training records.
  • Regularly inspect residences for cleanliness and safety, recommending corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent credited coursework and experience.
  • 1-3 years of total experience in a relevant field.
