About the position

The Director of Project Management and Engineering is a critical leadership role within Chobani's Global Engineering and Project Management team, responsible for leading and executing strategic capital projects across the company's Global Supply Chain manufacturing facilities. This position requires a strong background in industrial engineering, overseeing a large global engineering team that handles mechanical, electrical, and software design to deliver comprehensive sub-system capabilities. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to develop engineering solutions from concept to commissioning, ensuring projects are completed on budget and within timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead capital critical planning initiatives and develop, document, and track potential capital projects.
  • Ensure proper coordination of work between team, subcontractors, and clients, adhering to company and client requirements.
  • Identify obsolete or critical risk equipment and systems, proposing plans to prevent unplanned failures.
  • Work with internal Plant Teams to identify and implement manufacturing process improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and manage employee relations, problem-solving, and skill development within the team.
  • Act as Senior Project Manager for select projects, leading the budgeting process and tracking budgetary spending.
  • Monitor and report on project performance, ensuring all contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met.
  • Set up and improve engineering standards and guidelines to enhance project execution efficiency.
  • Organize engineering support for construction and commissioning, including site visits.

Requirements

  • 15+ years' experience in Manufacturing and Process Technologies.
  • Previous experience with Food and Beverage or Consumer Packaged Goods companies required.
  • 10 years developing engineering strategy to support manufacturing environments is required.
  • 7+ years managerial and leadership experience in multiple engineering functions is required.
  • 7+ years of project management experience including project timeliness, budgets, and risk analysis is required.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, industrial, or process preferred).
  • Project/Program Management training and/or certification (PMP) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project, and familiarity with common CAD software (SolidWorks desired).

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $140,000.00 - $210,000.00, plus bonus.
