About the position

The Director of Project Management and Engineering is a critical leadership role within Chobani's Global Engineering and Project Management team. This position is responsible for leading and executing strategic capital projects across the company's Global Supply Chain manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial engineering and will oversee a large global engineering team, ensuring the development of engineering solutions from concept to final commissioning while maintaining budget and timeline adherence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead capital critical planning initiatives and develop, document, and track potential capital projects.
  • Ensure proper coordination of work between team, subcontractors, and clients, adhering to company and client requirements.
  • Identify obsolete or critical risk equipment and systems, developing plans to prevent unplanned failures.
  • Work with internal Plant Teams to identify and implement manufacturing process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and support to supervisors in employee relations, problem-solving, and skill development.
  • Act as Senior Project Manager for select projects, leading the budgeting process and tracking budgetary spending.
  • Monitor and report on project performance to ensure contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met.
  • Develop and approve Master Engineering Results including drawings and specifications necessary for project completion.

Requirements

  • 15+ years' experience in Manufacturing and Process Technologies.
  • Previous experience with Food and Beverage or Consumer Packaged Goods companies required.
  • 10 years developing engineering strategy to support manufacturing environments is required.
  • 7+ years managerial and leadership experience in multiple engineering functions is required.
  • 7+ years of project management experience including project timeliness, budgets, and risk analysis is required.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, industrial, or process preferred).
  • Project/Program Management training and/or certification (PMP) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project, and familiarity with common CAD software (SolidWorks desired).

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $140,000 - $210,000 per year, plus bonus.
