About the position

The Project Management and Development Services Director will oversee all aspects of project management for real estate projects, ensuring successful planning, design, construction, and occupancy. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage multiple consultants and projects while interfacing directly with clients to define project requirements and deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all facets of project management including budget, schedule, procurement, quality, and risk for individual real estate projects.
  • Read, understand, and apply complex documents affecting real estate projects, including agreements, leases, and project charters.
  • Interface directly with clients to define project requirements and prepare necessary documentation such as scope of work and cost estimates.
  • Identify and recommend project delivery resources, conduct requests for proposals, and lead evaluation interviews.
  • Lead project delivery teams, providing guidance and direction to achieve project goals.
  • Implement communication plans for meetings and reports to keep clients informed.
  • Ensure project documentation governance aligns with company and client requirements, maintaining data integrity.
  • Track project progress against goals, budgets, and timelines, reporting status and variances.
  • Implement change management routines to assess and manage change requests.
  • Identify complex project risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of real estate/project management experience.
  • Experience in real estate project management, architecture, or construction management.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Nice-to-haves

  • LEED certification is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
