About the position

The Director of Project Management/Inside Sales is responsible for leading the Sales and Project Management teams to foster long-term partnerships with customers. This role emphasizes maintaining strong customer relationships and integrating these into daily operations, overseeing project management, and ensuring cross-functional collaboration. The Director develops KPIs to drive performance, aligns departmental execution with company goals, and manages the budget for the team, including sales forecasts.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a strong, healthy, and collaborative partnership with customers.
  • Manage and develop the team, ensuring strong and experienced Project Managers, Analysts, and Coordinators.
  • Maintain existing customer relationships and manage the priorities and complexities that arise from an agile production environment.
  • Work cross-functionally with Quality, R&I, Commercialization, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure profitable growth of business.
  • Support the management of excess and obsolete inventory through transparent communication with customers.
  • Create strategic growth and innovation by implementing business and sales strategies to meet company expectations.
  • Oversee the successful cross-functional integration of the monthly forecast from customers into BMSC's ERP and Planning systems.
  • Ensure successful firming of forecasts into the time horizon.
  • Develop annual budgets for sales, expenses, and development of the team.
  • Manage and hold the team accountable to the KPIs and targets that are developed.
  • Understand customer needs, competitive forces, changing technology, and available resources.
  • Stay current with recent developments, innovations, and technologies that may improve products and manufacturing processes.
  • Support Notice of Event (NOE) investigations and CAPAs for Quality issues that arise.
  • Establish, report, and present Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 8 years of related experience in Beauty, Retail, or Personal Care Industry.
  • 2 plus years of experience in Contract Manufacturing.
  • Project Management experience required.
  • Experience in developing and managing budgets.
  • Experience in managing and developing a team of professional Project Managers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven track record of building relationships, driving sales, and leading a Sales team.
  • Solid understanding of beauty care markets and consumer trends.
  • Ability to effectively present information, proven oral and written communication skills.
  • Subject Matter Expert in Personal Care and Beauty Care Industry Landscape.
  • Understanding of Supply Contracts.
  • Understanding of Financial Metrics such as EBITDA and ROI.
  • Strong analytical skills including thorough risk assessments.
