About the position

The Director of Project Management - Lab Solutions at Siemens Healthineers is a pivotal role responsible for leading project management initiatives within the clinical laboratory environment. This position serves as the primary authority on project execution, implementation strategies, and process knowledge, ensuring successful project delivery while mentoring and guiding local project managers. The director engages with various teams to develop key performance indicators (KPIs), oversee project reviews, and implement strategic improvements in project management practices. This role emphasizes collaboration, leadership, and the advancement of healthcare solutions sustainably and inclusively.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with the Commercial team during PM20 - PM40 Phase on solution design and implementation strategies.
  • Mentor Project Managers on PM processes and best practices for Project Management.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives for the PM Team and Program Management development.
  • Use standardized tools for monitoring projects and communications.
  • Direct and provide guidance to local Project Managers and teams to develop and establish KPIs.
  • Perform project reviews to monitor progress and ensure successful project completion.
  • Guide the Customer Service Implementation team and strategic partners for high-quality project implementation.
  • Develop roles and responsibilities management process for cross-functional teams.
  • Interview and approve assigned local project managers to ensure appropriate skills for project activities.
  • Identify best practices in project and implementation management for strategic improvements.
  • Act as a consultant and provide guidance to regional project practitioners.
  • Serve as the lead advisor to top management and business partners on advanced technical matters.
  • Represent the company as the primary contact for local representatives and leadership.
  • Mentor and coach team members, providing critical technical guidance to associates and upper management.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in a related discipline or advanced degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • PMP certification is desirable.
  • 5+ years of successful leadership diagnostic experience in the area of responsibility.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, collaborative relationship building, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, time management, and computer proficiency skills.
  • Excellent presentation and project management skills.
  • Coaching and mentoring experience, along with negotiation skills.
  • Data analysis, business acumen, and clinical acumen are essential.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in a matrix organization is required.
  • Prior laboratory diagnostics or healthcare experience is desirable.
