About the position

The Director of Project Management Office (PMO) at Texas Oncology is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of a portfolio of projects aimed at improving patient care. This role requires strategic vision and leadership to manage complex projects that align with the organization's goals. The Director will lead a team of project managers and engage with various stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the PMO strategy to ensure alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of diverse projects within the healthcare setting.
  • Lead a team of project managers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment and successful outcomes.
  • Allocate resources efficiently across projects, ensuring optimal utilization and addressing potential resource constraints proactively.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, implementing contingency plans as necessary.
  • Develop and oversee project reporting mechanisms, providing regular updates to senior leadership on project status, risks, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a healthcare environment.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification required.
  • Strong strategic planning, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Comprehensive understanding of healthcare industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
