About the position

The Director of Project Management Office (PMO) at Texas Oncology will oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of a portfolio of projects aimed at improving patient care. This role requires strategic vision, leadership, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects that align with the organization's goals. The position is integral to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the PMO strategy to ensure alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of diverse projects within the healthcare setting.
  • Lead a team of project managers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment and successful outcomes.
  • Allocate resources efficiently across projects, ensuring optimal utilization and addressing potential resource constraints proactively.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, implementing contingency plans as necessary.
  • Develop and oversee project reporting mechanisms, providing regular updates to senior leadership on project status, risks, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a healthcare environment.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification required.
  • Strong strategic planning, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Comprehensive understanding of healthcare industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
