About the position

The Director of Project Management at Vivalink plays a crucial role in overseeing the successful delivery of clinical trial services. This position is responsible for managing project teams, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and optimizing project delivery in terms of speed, quality, and cost. The Director will leverage therapeutic expertise and Vivalink's solutions to drive operational excellence and strategic leadership, while also mentoring project managers and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for delivery and management of Vivalink's services for clinical trials.
  • Develop integrated study management plans with the core project team.
  • Accountable for the execution of clinical studies per contract while optimizing speed, quality, and cost of delivery.
  • Set objectives of the core project team according to agreed-upon contract, strategy, and approach.
  • Collaborate with other functional groups within the company to support milestone achievement.
  • Monitor and track progress against contract and prepare/present project information to stakeholders.
  • Manage risk and lead problem-solving efforts.
  • Maintain trial master file to ensure accurate documentation.
  • Support customer and regulatory audits.
  • Achieve project quality by identifying quality risks and issues.
  • Actively communicate project status with internal stakeholders.
  • Build the cross-functional project team and lead their efforts.
  • Ensure the financial success of the project through reporting and budget reconciliation.
  • Forecast expected activities and revenue across all clinical trials.
  • Identify changes in scope and manage change control process.
  • Provide input to line managers on project team members' performance.
  • Support staff development and mentor less experienced project team members.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance project team environment.
  • Manage other members of the Project Management team.
  • Participate in customer presentations and demonstrations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 10 years of prior relevant project management experience involving digital health technologies or eClinical platforms.
  • Advanced knowledge of job area and broad knowledge of related job areas.
  • Knowledge of clinical trial conduct and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Broad knowledge of clinical drug and medical device development, industry standards, and regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including excellent command of English.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work through others to deliver results.
  • Planning, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Good software and computer skills, including MS Office applications and cloud-based project management applications.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.

Nice-to-haves

  • GCP-certification desired.
  • Experience with DHT and clinical trials management.
  • Proficiency in cloud-based project management applications like Smartsheets, Jira, Asana, Workday.
