About the position

The Director of Project Management at the University of Tennessee Foundation, Inc. is responsible for leading and overseeing the successful delivery of multiple projects within the ACE ecosystem, focusing on the Advancement Technology infrastructure. This role involves collaboration with stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget, while maintaining quality standards. The Director will manage the IT project portfolio, facilitate planning, and enhance project management methodologies, all while fostering a culture of innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the successful delivery of multiple projects within the ACE ecosystem.
  • Manage the Foundation's IT project portfolio, facilitating planning and prioritization of complex, systemwide efforts.
  • Direct the development and implementation of IT project management methodologies to enhance project scheduling and resource estimation.
  • Perform project management on high-profile efforts, including stakeholder identification and project planning.
  • Communicate frequently with team members and senior business stakeholders regarding project status and issues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across various departments.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics for projects and initiatives.
  • Analyze project performance data and prepare regular reports for leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience using project management tools and software, such as Smartsheet, Trello, MS Planner.
  • Progressive IT management experience, including IT service management and project leadership.
  • Ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects and fundraising CRM solutions.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to prioritize high-return activities.
  • Proficient in essential software, including MS Office.
  • A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
