Director of Project Management

About the position

The Director of Project Management & New Product Development will play a crucial role in driving the strategic direction of project management and leading the new product development (NPD) initiatives within the organization. This leadership position requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in project management and product development. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of project managers and cross-functional teams, ensuring that all projects and new products are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with the company's goals and market demands.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of project managers and cross-functional teams involved in new product development.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and product teams to develop and execute the project management and new product development strategy.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple projects and NPD initiatives.
• Drive the NPD process from ideation to launch, including concept development, prototyping, testing, and go-to-market strategies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage project and product development resources effectively.
• Identify potential project and product development risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor project performance and NPD outcomes.
• Oversee project and product development budgets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Product Development, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Previous experience in Beauty / personal care related fields.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management and product development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or director-level role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects and new product launches.
• Strong understanding of new product development processes and project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana).
• Exceptional leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
