As the Director of Project Management, you will lead and manage a team of project managers, coordinators, and permit specialists to ensure the successful execution of all projects. You will develop and maintain project management and permitting processes and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency across all projects. Your role will involve reviewing project plans and timelines to identify and address potential issues before they become problems, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to sign manufacturing and permitting. Regular meetings with the project management and permitting teams will be essential to review progress, provide feedback, and ensure that projects are on track. You will also be responsible for approving costs, conducting cost analysis, and monitoring team spending. In addition, you will lead team training sessions to improve skills and knowledge, manage vendor and subcontractor relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery of services, and develop team KPIs and measurable goals based on current company objectives. Implementing, managing, and achieving these targets for each team member will be a key part of your responsibilities, along with reporting progress to various management levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of project managers, coordinators, and permit specialists to ensure the successful execution of all projects.
  • Develop and maintain project management and permitting processes and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency across all projects.
  • Review project plans and timelines to identify and address potential issues before they become problems.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to sign manufacturing and permitting.
  • Meet regularly with the project management and permitting teams to review progress, provide feedback, and ensure that projects are on track.
  • Approve costs, conduct cost analysis, and monitor team spending.
  • Lead team training sessions to improve skills and knowledge.
  • Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery of services.
  • Develop team KPIs and measurable goals based on current company objectives; implement, manage, and achieve these targets for each team member, and report progress to various management levels.

Requirements

  • At least five (5) years of experience in project management, preferably in the sign or construction industry.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire team members, delegate tasks effectively, and communicate clearly.
  • The ability to build and maintain a strong, cohesive team by fostering collaboration, resolving conflicts, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills, including the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions based on the needs of the team and organization.
  • Proven experience managing and leading teams to successful project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring that all aspects of projects are executed to the highest standards.
