The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the completion of projects from the quotation process through execution, ensuring that all project objectives are met efficiently and effectively. This role requires the integration of multiple departments and organizations to achieve project goals, with a strong emphasis on building effective working relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. The Project Manager will be involved in planning, coordinating, and implementing moderately complex projects, while also monitoring pricing and materials. Acting as a liaison between the shop, management, and customers, the Project Manager ensures that deadlines and specifications are met throughout the project lifecycle. In this position, the Project Manager will work under minimal supervision and must be highly self-motivated. Regular meetings with customers, including field personnel and facilities engineers, will be necessary to define the scope of project requirements. The role also involves coordinating and evaluating requests for changes, preparing and approving change orders, and being accountable to senior management for the commercial, technical, and schedule performance of projects. Weekly financial reports and key accounting data will need to be prepared and submitted, along with involvement in the development of project proposals, budgets, and execution strategies. The Project Manager will closely collaborate with the Sales department and serve as a technical expert in the design and engineering process. This includes interfacing with both external and internal customers and vendors on technical and commercial issues. The Project Manager will manage the project team to focus on achieving common goals, communicating project scope, requirements, and technical concerns directly with Process Engineers, Project Managers, Drafters/Designers, and other functional groups. Additionally, the Project Manager will recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solution of both technical and commercial problems, resolve conflicts regarding process and mechanical design, and provide sound design solutions. Mentoring less experienced project managers and project engineers is also a key responsibility, along with handling any special projects as assigned.
