About the position

The Director of Project Management is responsible for overseeing the successful initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout of all project portfolios at Eagle Creek Renewable Energy. This role involves leading the Project Management Team and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while collaborating with various stakeholders including project managers, operations managers, and engineering professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Project Management Team to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
• Coordinate internal resources and vendors for successful project execution.
• Establish and implement efficient workflow processes and tools for project tracking.
• Develop Project Management Training across teams.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to monitor project progress.
• Create tools/templates for cost estimating, budgeting, and scheduling to support Project Leads.
• Ensure proper management and organization of project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with external consultants and internal stakeholders on project delivery tools and processes.
• Attend conferences and training to maintain proficiency in project management.
• Serve as a Project Manager when necessary, establishing budget and schedule for projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of technical experience or 15+ years in the hydroelectric industry managing projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and oversee teams.
• Strong technical background in civil, mechanical, electrical, and controls projects.
• Ability to travel for project supervision and execution (approximately 30%).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with hydroelectric plant systems including dams, turbines, and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with project management software and tools.
