About the position

The Director of Project Management at Modea Holdings Inc. is a pivotal leadership role responsible for enhancing the project management practice within the organization. This position involves overseeing team performance, managing project portfolios, and setting strategic direction to drive successful outcomes. The director will leverage data-driven insights and extensive experience to tackle complex challenges, align team efforts with client engagements, and contribute to the overall success and growth of the company.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategy and goals for the project management practice.
• Directly manage all members of the project management team, conducting regular 1:1s and providing comprehensive team support.
• Participate in strategic decision-making as a key member of the leadership team.
• Champion and embody core values, mission, and vision throughout the organization.
• Oversee the health and delivery of Modea's Delivery Portfolio, consisting of strategic, high-priority, complex digital product development engagements.
• Develop and maintain executive-level client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and identifying growth opportunities.
• Own and manage the project management department's budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and financial performance.
• Drive best practices, standards, and continuous improvement in project portfolio management processes and methodologies.
• Direct, manage, coach, and mentor a high-performing team of project managers, including hiring and performance evaluations.
• Drive the implementation of strategic initiatives across the project management function.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• 10+ years in project/program/portfolio management roles
• 7+ years in people and team leadership positions
• 5+ years in a consulting environment
• Experience leading and growing a consulting practice or department
• Strong Scrum experience in digital product development
• Proven track record of building trusted client partnerships
• Experience managing executive-level relationships, including C-suite clients
• Demonstrated success in building and scaling high-performing project management teams
• Experience managing technical projects utilizing Agile project management practices
• Proficiency in managing multi-million dollar portfolios of technology initiatives
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing departmental P&L
• Experience driving change and growth within fast-paced companies
• Compelling presenter and communicator, able to influence audiences at all levels.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA)
• Additional certifications such as Prosci Change Management, ITIL Foundations, or Scrum certifications
• Knowledge of the healthcare industry and digital marketing
• Experience with HIPAA compliance and healthcare data privacy regulations
