About the position

The Director of Project Management will oversee a team dedicated to managing complex HVAC projects from start to finish. This role requires a blend of project management skills and engineering knowledge to ensure projects are executed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of project managers, providing guidance, support, and constructive feedback to drive successful project outcomes and foster team development.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure efficient delivery that meets client specifications.
• Apply engineering expertise to resolve technical challenges in HVAC design, installation, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to align on project goals, provide regular updates, and manage changes in scope or schedule.
• Develop and implement project management processes to improve efficiency, quality, and profitability across projects.
• Proactively identify risks early in the project lifecycle and establish strategies to mitigate them, ensuring successful project delivery.
• Track and report on project KPIs to confirm adherence to quality, budget, and schedule targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
• 8+ years of experience in project management in the HVAC, construction, or related industry.
• 3+ years of experience in a management or team lead role.
• Previous consulting engineering experience, highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, equipment, and engineering principles.
• PMP certification (preferred)
• Well versed in project management software (i.e. MS Project, Primavera)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
