About the position

The Director of Property Operations and Facilities at GALLERYone - a DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the technical operations and maintenance of the hotel. This position ensures that the hotel's physical assets are maintained to the highest standards, driving guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. The director will lead a skilled engineering team, manage compliance with safety regulations, and support energy efficiency initiatives, all while collaborating with various departments to enhance the overall guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee the functionality and safety of the facility, including physical buildings, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, heating and cooling systems, life safety systems, and grounds.
  • Conduct facility inspections to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Assign, verify, and document completion of all routine maintenance and repairs in the property maintenance management system.
  • Direct, oversee, and maintain required documentation for energy management and conservation and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Lead, manage, and communicate information about capital projects and property rehabilitations, including scheduling, budgeting, and contractor compliance.
  • Obtain required licenses and permits to ensure full compliance with codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Direct daily department operations, including guest service standards, product quality, inventory management, cost controls, and budgeting.
  • Monitor and develop team member performance, providing supervision, professional development, and recognition.
  • Recruit, interview, and train team members.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in property operations and facilities management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various departments.
  • Ability to manage budgets and capital projects effectively.
