About the position

The Associate Director of Prospect Management at CARE.org will lead and guide fundraising teams in applying prospect management methodologies and best practices. This role involves implementing moves management policies, coordinating prospect strategy sessions, and developing metrics to analyze portfolio performance. The position is crucial for ensuring effective donor engagement and maximizing fundraising potential.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate individuals as prospective mid-level, major gift, or planned giving donors.
• Ensure relationship managers have complete and updated portfolios to meet fundraising goals.
• Collaborate with prospect researchers to review external resources and internal reports to identify new prospects and update existing donor information.
• Manage the assignment of prospects/donors to portfolios to maximize donor potential and align them with the appropriate fundraising channels.
• Conduct 1:1 portfolio review sessions with Relationship Managers, preparing materials and assisting in evaluating prospects.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on CRM prospect management systems, ensuring data integrity and making recommendations for improvements.
• Build and maintain portfolio dashboards/reports for monitoring progress and effectiveness.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of prospect research, prospect management, or fundraising experience.
• At least one year of supervisory experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Experience working with Major Gifts teams and proven skills in producing actionable results for gift officers.
• Good writing and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with fundraisers and executive staff.
