About The Position
The position involves directing and managing several municipal Public Works operations, including the Capital Improvement Program, Development Engineering, Construction Planning and Management, Transportation Services, Utility Services, Wastewater Treatment, and Street Services. The role ensures effective operational and budgetary/financial management of the Public Works Department through the establishment of priorities, evaluation, and review of budget requests and procurement procedures. Responsibilities include providing short and long-term program planning and management, financial and manpower forecasting, and program and management system analysis related to Public Works projects, operations, and services. The position also coordinates the establishment, implementation, and construction of the Capital Improvement Program, oversees the preparation of cost estimates and specifications, and manages the administration of land development and Capital Improvement Program projects.
