About the position
The Director of Purchasing, Inventory & Facilities at JD Audio & Video Design, Inc. is responsible for overseeing the procurement process, inventory management, and the maintenance of company facilities. This role involves strategic planning, policy development, and ensuring the safety and functionality of the work environment. The position requires strong leadership skills to manage warehouse and facility personnel effectively.
Responsibilities
- Management of the procurement process including development of policies and procedures.
- Strategic planning within the procurement and inventory management function.
- Maintaining a highly functioning warehouse, including management of the flow of materials and equipment in and out of the facility.
- Management of all facilities occupied by company personnel, ensuring safety and functionality are maintained at an optimal level.
- Provide oversight and supervise warehouse and facility personnel.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience with a combination of inventory management and purchasing functions in a computerized environment.
- Strong knowledge of the AV industry and consumer electronics.
- 3-5 years supervisory experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to interface with all levels of personnel.
- Team player with a strong work ethic.
