About the position

The Director of Reconstruction is responsible for overseeing and managing the rebuild and construction operations for a disaster restoration company. This role focuses on ensuring efficient disaster management, particularly after incidents involving water and fire damage. The Director will lead a team, maintain high service standards, and drive operational excellence to meet client satisfaction and revenue goals, while also managing financial oversight and compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of reconstruction teams.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of construction projects to ensure they meet company standards and client expectations.
  • Hold downline personnel accountable to consistent adherence to established operational processes and procedures.
  • Ensure that company culture is cultivated and maintained throughout all team activities.
  • Ensure team personnel understand the company WHY as outlined and delivered by Ownership/Management.
  • Recruit and assist in facilitating training to ensure the division maintains a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
  • Develop and manage the divisional budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure timely and accurate estimating & billing to protect company cash flow.
  • Identify opportunities for business growth within the division and develop strategies to expand the client base.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a rebuild/reconstruction division of a restoration company.
  • Proven track record of successful leadership and operations management.
  • Experience in financial oversight, including monitoring and managing budgets, financial reports, P&L, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
  • Proficiency in project management and financial analysis.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
