About the position

The Director of Recruitment is responsible for overseeing the agency-wide recruitment strategy, managing the full lifecycle of talent acquisition, and ensuring effective onboarding processes. This role includes direct supervision of a Recruitment Coordinator and indirect oversight of a recruitment team, ensuring smooth operations across multiple office locations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies that align with organizational goals and values.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and create tailored recruitment solutions.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics and optimize processes for efficiency.
  • Directly supervise the Recruitment Coordinator and support the leadership of five recruitment team members.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations for recruitment staff.
  • Foster a collaborative and motivating team environment that encourages professional growth and innovation.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for all new hires, ensuring consistency and quality in training and orientation.
  • Manage the relief worker pool, ensuring adequate coverage for program needs across multiple locations.
  • Work with HR and program directors to ensure onboarding and employment regulations compliance.
  • Manage daily operations at recruitment offices and plan for the successful opening of the Greenfield office.
  • Ensure the effective use of recruitment tools, applicant tracking systems, and technology solutions to streamline the hiring process.
  • Build relationships with local colleges, job boards, community organizations, and other key stakeholders to support recruitment efforts.
  • Represent ServiceNet at job fairs, community events, and networking functions to enhance the agency's visibility and attract talent.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local employment laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain recruitment reports and provide insights to the CHRO regarding hiring trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Conduct regular audits of recruitment practices to ensure alignment with ServiceNet's diversity, equity, and inclusion goals.
  • Lead or participate in HR and agency-wide special projects as assigned, contributing expertise on recruitment and talent management.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance recruitment practices and employee retention.
  • Perform other tasks and responsibilities as needed or assigned by the CHRO or senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in recruitment or human resources, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proven experience managing recruitment strategies, employee onboarding, and working with applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and locations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ATS software, and other HR technologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) preferred.
