About the position

The Director of Regional Advancement is responsible for leading the regional fundraising program across the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Northeast regions. This role involves managing a team of Regional Assistant Directors and Leadership Annual Giving officers, focusing on building relationships and securing philanthropic support for the College of Charleston.

Responsibilities

• Lead the regional fundraising program for the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Northeast regions.
• Hire and manage two Regional Assistant Directors of Advancement and two campus-based Leadership Annual Giving officers.
• Develop and implement strategies for prospect identification and relationship building.
• Mentor and model team and institutional culture for staff and faculty.
• Create compelling development proposals and communications to solicit donations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and four years of relevant successful experience, including management.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in prospect identification and relationship building.
• Superior written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to translate complex concepts into compelling proposals.
• Proven success working independently.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced degree preferred.
• Demonstrated advanced ability with Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to motivate donors, prospects, colleagues, and volunteers.
