About the position

The Director of Rehabilitation at Buckeye Forest in Greenville is responsible for overseeing and managing the rehabilitation services department, which includes physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and supervise a multidisciplinary team of therapists and therapy assistants.
  • Oversee hiring, training, and evaluating rehabilitation staff to ensure high standards of clinical care.
  • Schedule and manage staffing to meet patient needs and maintain a balanced workload for the rehabilitation team.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and patient-centered care.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Ensure therapy services meet the specific needs of patients with various impairments.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations related to rehabilitation services.
  • Implement quality assurance initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
  • Prepare for and participate in audits and inspections by regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress.
  • Develop and implement rehabilitation programs that meet patient needs.
  • Stay informed of industry best practices and advancements in rehabilitation.
  • Manage the rehabilitation department's budget and financial performance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for residents and families regarding rehabilitation services.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree is required.
  • Must hold an active license for Physical Therapy, Physical Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapy, Occupational Therapy Assistant, or Speech Therapy.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of clinical experience in rehabilitation therapy.
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of rehabilitation practices and standards in healthcare settings.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and rehabilitation software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Management/DOR experience is highly preferred.
