About the position

The Director of Restaurant Operations is responsible for managing all restaurant and kitchen operations and staff on a daily basis. This role involves overseeing various areas including Restaurants/Bars, Room Service, and Kitchen, while striving to improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximizing financial performance. The director will work closely with the food and beverage management team to execute operations effectively and develop strategies for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily restaurant and kitchen operations and staff.
• Estimate food, liquor, wine, and beverage consumption to anticipate purchases.
• Maintain service and sanitation standards in all dining areas.
• Order and purchase necessary equipment and supplies.
• Establish and achieve challenging business goals and development plans.
• Identify financial opportunities and manage departmental budgets.
• Maximize revenue through competitive pricing strategies.
• Lead and mentor the food and beverage team, fostering a positive work environment.
• Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service and handle guest complaints effectively.
• Conduct human resource activities including performance appraisals and training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with 6 years of experience in food and beverage or related field, or
• 2-year degree in Food Service Management or related field with 4 years of experience.
