About the position
The Director of Rooms at Hotel Paso Del Norte is responsible for overseeing the Front Office and Housekeeping Departments, ensuring exceptional guest service and operational excellence. This role involves collaborating with department heads to manage daily operations, drive guest satisfaction, and implement continuous improvement processes. The Director will also participate in hotel management activities, lead executive committees, and assist in budget preparation and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the Front Office and Housekeeping Departments.
- Ensure guest satisfaction and loyalty through exceptional service.
- Collaborate with department heads to manage day-to-day operations.
- Implement and evaluate programs for continuous improvement.
- Participate in total hotel management activities as a member of the Hotel Management Team.
- Direct hotel actions to maximize profitability and improve service levels.
- Lead executive committee meetings to meet profit and service goals.
- Respond to guest service challenges and provide solutions.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual hotel budget and business planning process.
- Develop skills and abilities of direct reports.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt processes and standards.
- Advanced knowledge of hospitality and business management, especially in Housekeeping and Front Desk operations.
- Strong communication skills for leading teams and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex information to improve practices.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in hotel management or operations.
- Knowledge of budgeting and financial reporting in a hotel context.
