About the position

As the Director of Sales for Morse Micro in the US, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our innovative WiFi HaLow products and solutions. This position is not just about meeting sales targets; it’s about being a strategic leader who can inspire a team and foster relationships that lead to long-term success. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sales plans that align with our corporate objectives, ensuring that we not only meet but exceed our revenue goals. Your expertise in the semiconductor industry, particularly in wireless technology, will be crucial as you navigate the competitive landscape and identify new business opportunities. In this role, you will work closely with our product and marketing teams to create a cohesive strategy that enhances our market share and revenue. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customer executives will be essential, as you will need to engage them early in the architecture process to ensure that our solutions meet their needs. You will also be tasked with nurturing emerging accounts and markets, driving regular pipeline reviews, and creatively solving problems to improve our market penetration and perception. Your leadership will extend beyond just sales; you will provide valuable input into the organizational structure and effectiveness, ensuring that we have the right skills and staff in place to execute our strategies. Participation in trade shows and conferences will also be a key aspect of your role, allowing you to showcase our technology and connect with potential clients and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining influential relationships with key customer executives that enable early architecture engagements
  • Identify, develop, and nurture emerging accounts and markets
  • Driving regular pipeline reviews with the team
  • Executing a sales vision and strategy that aligns with Morse Micro's revenue goals
  • Collaborate to develop and implement a sales plan that results in profitable revenue and market share growth
  • Creatively solving problems to improve Morse Micro's market penetration and perception
  • Providing input into organizational effectiveness to inform optimal structure, skills, and staff needed to execute on strategies
  • Actively participating in trade shows and conferences

Requirements

  • BSEE or equivalent preferred
  • 8+ years' semiconductor sales experience and direct or indirect management experience with a history of sales execution
  • 802.11 wireless experience
  • Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving capabilities with a history of bringing new technologies to market
  • Experience selling radio technology into the IoT verticals, namely Building Automation, POS, Smart City, Inventory Management and Industrial Automation
  • Team oriented; leverages sales partners abilities appropriately; shares in successes and takes ownership for mistakes or losses
