About the position

The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for overseeing the marketing efforts of the Harmony Collection at Columbia, ensuring that the community meets or exceeds its budgeted census. This role involves developing marketing strategies, training staff, managing inquiries, and building community relationships to enhance the community's visibility and appeal.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee internal and external marketing efforts to meet budgeted census.
  • Ensure building readiness and train staff on first impressions and telephone etiquette.
  • Develop quarterly marketing plans in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Complete marketing reports in a timely manner and lead internal marketing meetings.
  • Manage all inquiries personally and provide staff training for inquiry handling.
  • Ensure leadership availability for inquiries and tours in the absence of the Director.
  • Provide customer service training for new hires and annually for all staff.
  • Use lead tracking system to document contacts with prospects and respond to inquiries promptly.
  • Conduct external marketing calls and follow up on all calls made.
  • Host community events and promote the community as a meeting space for local groups.
  • Build community relationships through networking and serve as an educational spokesperson on aging and health issues.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Three years' experience as a marketing director in senior care.
  • Demonstrated ability to build a census and analyze data for marketing plans.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and complete projects on time.
  • Ability to establish relationships with prospective clients, families, and community resource groups.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and proficiency in computer programs.
  • Flexible work schedule availability, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 25lbs.
