About the position

We are hiring a Director of Sales & Marketing. The ideal candidate is a service-oriented, motivated, passionate, and collaborative individual who has a deep understanding of how to continue to develop strong relationships with customers, how to effectively prospect, and how to positively and creatively lead teams. The DOS will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the highest quality of service to our customers at all times.
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive business in new and existing markets.
  • Establish and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
  • Understand and keep up to date with industry and competitive landscape knowledge.
  • Guide sales and marketing efforts as well as advertising tasks, public relations and administrative reporting.
  • Define and implement sales and marketing activities according to the Marketing Plan.
  • Prioritize, document, and organize work to meet deadlines.

Requirements

  • Hilton sales experience is a plus.
  • Delphi and Profitsword experience a plus.
  • Ability to create a comprehensive pre-opening marketing plan that builds brand awareness and generates buzz around the new hotel.
  • Development of targeted digital marketing campaigns, social media strategies, and local PR efforts to attract initial customers, including early-bird bookings and grand opening promotions.
  • Expertise in establishing a strong local brand identity for a new hotel.
  • Ability to customize Hampton Inn's global branding to meet the unique needs of the Farmingdale, Long Island market.
  • Building relationships with local businesses, tourism boards, event planners, and corporate clients to create a network of leads.
  • Expertise in leveraging SEO, PPC, and social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) to create a strong online presence.
  • Experience in website development to ensure the hotel's site is attractive, functional, and optimized for both local searches and global bookings.
  • Experience in selling and marketing the hotel's meeting and event spaces, especially in a new hotel where the event market must be cultivated from the ground up.
  • Networking with local event planners, wedding coordinators, and business groups to attract group business and build relationships for long-term revenue.
  • Project Management: Ability to juggle multiple tasks, such as opening schedules, marketing campaigns, and sales initiatives.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring all aspects of the hotel's operations are aligned with Hilton's standards, from sales contracts to the guest experience.
  • Motivation & Enthusiasm: Bringing high energy and enthusiasm to the team and the public to generate excitement about the new hotel.
