About the position

The Director of Sales and Marketing is a key leadership role within a non-profit, faith-based organization focused on long-term care, assisted living, and skilled care services. This position is responsible for driving census growth and promoting the organization's mission by engaging with potential, new, and existing residents and their families. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, creative, and capable of collaborating effectively with both community and corporate sales teams to achieve sales goals. This role includes management, training, and outreach to community organizations, and offers an incentive-based compensation structure.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts phone and direct sales calls in accordance with established sales & marketing goals, ensuring budgeted goals and expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Manages all move-ins to achieve maximum revenue performance for the community, communicating incoming residents' individual needs to the Director Team.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans to meet or exceed performance expectations.
  • Works with corporate sales staff in lead generating activities to ensure adequate leads are produced.
  • Manages and maintains a working knowledge of the CRM software program and other lead tracking systems.
  • Assists in the success of internal sales programs and manages the sales & marketing department staff to ensure completion of reporting procedures and daily assignments.
  • Motivates and rewards staff to meet or exceed performance expectations in consultation with the Executive Director and Corporate Sales Team.
  • Assists in the hiring, performance evaluation, and discipline of all Sales & Marketing associates under the direction of the Corporate Sales Team.
  • Maintains an active, working knowledge of current competition and communicates updates to staff.
  • Creates and maintains a positive image of the community with residents, the community, and other staff associates.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in a metrics-based environment with skilled rehab, long term care, assisted living, and memory care product lines.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related areas is preferred but not necessary.
  • Excellent customer service, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Team management skills and experience.
  • Pleasant, courteous, and tactful demeanor when dealing with others.
  • Creative, 'out of the box' thinking is a must.
  • Successful lead generation skills.
  • Effective and comprehensive CRM experience; must be proficient in Word.
