About the position

The Director of Sales for Auto & Yellow Goods at DP World is a strategic leadership role focused on expanding the company's presence in the automotive and goods industries. This position involves identifying key opportunities, building relationships with decision-makers, and crafting tailored solutions to deliver exceptional value. The role emphasizes new business acquisition, managing commercial relationships, leading contract negotiations, and leveraging internal resources to successfully close deals and grow the company's footprint in these dynamic sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive targeted customer plan to identify top regional/industry opportunities and expand business to new accounts.
  • Generate effective leads and opportunities from the targeted customers plan.
  • Identify and develop relationships with key decision-makers at all levels within an account.
  • Understand the customer's business strategically, operationally, and financially, and identify all influences in their buying process.
  • Work across the company to create custom solutions that deliver value to customers.
  • Qualify and quantify potential growth opportunities.
  • Leverage company resources to assist in developing accounts.
  • Maintain an open dialogue with the account executive sponsor and keep them engaged in the account.
  • Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of current and future opportunities, quantifying the number of opportunities and their value, and managing the probability to win.
  • Own the commercial relationship and contract negotiations with customers for all new business wins.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related fields; Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the Tech Industry in supply chain or logistics, with a track record of 5 years in winning new clients.
  • Exposure to and working knowledge of Tech Industry contractual requirements of the supply base.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Knowledge of Environmental, Quality & Safety requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Automotive industry experience in supply chain or logistics with a track record in winning new clients within the global Automotive segment.
  • Exposure to Automotive level quality standards and industry quality system tools.
  • Knowledge of Automotive advanced manufacturing and supply chain models.
