The Director of Sales & Business Development at Legacy Village of Murrells Inlet is a pivotal role responsible for driving sales and marketing efforts within the senior living community. The Director will maintain up-to-date records of all communications with potential clients, tracking each prospect from initial contact through to their final decision. Building positive and trusting relationships with prospects is essential, which involves actively listening to their needs, asking insightful questions to gather more information, and presenting how the residence can meet those needs. The Director will also introduce prospects and their families to current residents and staff, providing opportunities for them to experience the community firsthand. Regular follow-ups based on the prospects' needs and timelines are crucial to guide them toward making informed decisions. In addition to direct sales responsibilities, the Director will be tasked with maintaining or exceeding budgeted census, deposits, and move-ins. This includes providing regular reports to the executive director regarding sales achievements, the status of interested prospects, and the implementation of the marketing plan. The role also involves developing and implementing an effective marketing strategy, which may include visiting referral sources, hosting events for qualified prospects, placing advertisements, and mailing promotional materials. Building strong relationships within the surrounding community, particularly with referral sources, is vital for success in this position. The Director will educate employees about their roles in marketing and sales, join community groups, and attend meetings to foster goodwill and educate others about the residence. The move-in process is another critical aspect of this role. The Director will ensure that all move-in paperwork is completed and returned in a timely manner, work with the wellness nurse and resident services director to schedule assessments, and inform all employees about the upcoming move-in. Providing ongoing communication, sensitivity, and reassurance to residents and their families during the transition process is essential to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience.
